Bread Batter
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 12 ounces beer room temperature

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix self-rising flour and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in beer just until combined; do not overmix.
  4. Transfer batter to prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Notes

Use any beer you like; lighter beers create a mild flavor while darker beers add richness.
