Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
Dough & Topping
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 large egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon water for egg wash
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for sprinkling
Optional Glaze
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Method
 

  1. Prepare apple filling by cooking apples with butter, sugar, and spices.
  2. Thicken with cornstarch slurry, then cool completely.
  3. Cut dough into circles and fill with apple mixture.
  4. Seal edges with a fork, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with optional glaze and serve warm.

Let the pies cool slightly before glazing for best texture and shine.
