Ingredients
  

Bread Batter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 medium apples peeled and chopped
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; alternate with milk into batter.
  5. Layer batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar; swirl gently.
  6. Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool, then drizzle with vanilla glaze.
