- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare loaf pan.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add egg and buttermilk, mix well.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients to form batter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Layer batter and cinnamon sugar in loaf pan, swirling with a knife.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack.
