Apple Cinnamon Tea (Hot or Iced)

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 apples thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tsp lemon juice optional
For Iced Version
  • 1 cup ice cubes as needed

Method
 

  1. Slice apples into thin wedges.
  2. Combine water, apples, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes to infuse flavors.
  4. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Remove tea bags and strain the liquid.
  6. Stir in honey or maple syrup and lemon juice if desired.
  7. Serve hot in mugs or allow to cool and pour over ice for iced tea.

Notes

Use sweet apple varieties for the best flavor. Tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
