- Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and cook 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk and cream, whisking until thickened.
- Stir in seasonings and cheese until melted and smooth.
- Combine pasta, chicken, and BBQ sauce with cheese sauce.
- Transfer to baking dish, top with breadcrumbs and extra cheese, and bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes.
- Drizzle with BBQ sauce and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Perfect for weeknights or potlucks. Can be made ahead and reheated with a splash of milk.
