Bread Pudding
  • 6 cups day-old bread cubed
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease baking dish.
  2. Place bread cubes into prepared dish.
  3. Whisk milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter, and salt.
  4. Pour custard over bread and press gently to soak.
  5. Rest 15–20 minutes.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and set.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use brioche or challah for richer flavor and texture.
