- Add chicken, broth, vegetables, garlic, herbs, and seasonings to a pot and simmer 1–1.5 hours.
- Remove chicken, shred, and return to pot.
- Add noodles or rice if using and cook until tender.
- Adjust seasoning and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
Soup thickens as it cools; add extra broth when reheating if needed.
