Roast
  • 5-7 lb prime rib roast bone-in
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp rosemary chopped
  • 2 tsp thyme chopped

Method
 

  1. Bring roast to room temperature.
  2. Preheat oven to 500°F.
  3. Mix garlic herb butter.
  4. Season roast thoroughly.
  5. Roast 5 minutes per pound.
  6. Turn oven off and let sit 2 hours.
  7. Carve and serve.
