  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional
  • 8 oz egg noodles

Method
 

  1. Season shrimp with paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  3. Sear shrimp in hot oil 2–3 minutes per side until blackened; remove.
  4. Sauté onion and mushrooms in butter until softened.
  5. Add garlic, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and spices; simmer.
  6. Whisk in sour cream and optional cornstarch slurry.
  7. Return shrimp and add noodles; toss to coat.
  8. Serve hot with parsley garnish.

Notes

Adjust spice level by adding or reducing Cajun seasoning.
