Ingredients
  

Tea
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
Boba Pearls
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar for sweetening pearls
Milk Tea Assembly
  • 1 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 cup ice optional

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer
  • Measuring cups
  • Wide boba straws

Method
 

  1. Brew black tea stronger than usual and cool.
  2. Cook tapioca pearls until soft and chewy.
  3. Sweeten warm pearls with brown sugar.
  4. Add pearls to glass, then tea, milk, and ice.
  5. Stir gently and serve immediately.

Notes

Pearls are best enjoyed the same day they are cooked.
