Method
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Mix soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Add chicken and sauce to crock pot and stir to coat.
- Cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours until tender.
- Add cornstarch slurry during the last 15 minutes to thicken sauce.
- Finish with sesame oil and garnish with green onions.
Notes
Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal. Can be made alcohol-free using apple juice.
