Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 tsp baking soda
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 tsp instant espresso powder
Add-Ins
  • 1 cup toffee bits

Method
 

  1. Brown the butter and let cool slightly.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix brown butter with sugars.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla, and espresso powder.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients and toffee bits.
  6. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 11–13 minutes.

Notes

Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while warm for best flavor.
