Ingredients

Ham Bake
  • 1 fully cooked ham 4-6 lbs
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves optional
  • 0.25 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1 can pineapple rings drained
  • Maraschino cherries optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • Mixing bowl
  • Brush or spoon for basting

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the ham in the baking dish, scoring the surface in a diamond pattern about 1/4 inch deep.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, melted butter, cloves, and cinnamon. Spread this mixture evenly over the ham.
  4. Arrange pineapple rings over the top of the ham. If desired, place a cherry in the center of each pineapple ring.
  5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Remove foil and continue baking for another 20-30 minutes, basting occasionally with the pan juices, until the ham is golden and caramelized.
  7. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
