- Brown the butter and cool completely.
- Toast pecans in a dry skillet.
- Mix browned butter with powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.
- Add flour and salt; fold in toasted pecans.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Shape into balls, flatten, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12–14 minutes.
- Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar and roll again after cooling.
Notes
Browned butter adds deep nutty flavor — don’t skip this step.
