Ingredients
  

Browned Butter Pecan Sandies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter browned and cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups chopped pecans toasted
  • powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Brown the butter and cool completely.
  2. Toast pecans in a dry skillet.
  3. Mix browned butter with powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.
  4. Add flour and salt; fold in toasted pecans.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape into balls, flatten, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12–14 minutes.
  7. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar and roll again after cooling.

Notes

Browned butter adds deep nutty flavor — don’t skip this step.
