Brownie Layer
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Pecan Pie Layer
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs large
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Method
 

  1. Prepare brownie batter and spread into greased pie dish.
  2. Whisk pecan pie ingredients and stir in pecans.
  3. Pour pecan mixture over brownie layer.
  4. Bake until center is set but slightly soft.
  5. Cool completely before slicing.
