Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Add-Ins
  • 1 cup pecans chopped and toasted

Method
 

  1. Toast pecans in butter until fragrant; cool.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in toasted pecans.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.

Notes

Chill dough briefly for thicker cookies.
