Crust
  • 1 pie crust
Cheesecake Layer
  • 225 g cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Apple Layer
  • 3 apples sliced
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp flour
Topping
  • 0.33 cup caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pie crust.
  2. Mix cheesecake layer ingredients until smooth.
  3. Spread cheesecake mixture into crust.
  4. Prepare apple mixture and layer on top.
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes until set.
  6. Cool completely and drizzle with caramel.

Use tart apples for best flavor balance and chill before serving for clean slices.
