Apple Mixture
  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Bread Batter
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
Caramel Drizzle
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Sauté apples with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until softened.
  2. Mix cinnamon swirl ingredients and set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, adding milk until smooth.
  6. Layer batter, cinnamon swirl, and apples in a loaf pan, repeating layers.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55–65 minutes.
  8. Cool slightly and drizzle with caramel before serving.

Notes

Allowing the bread to cool fully ensures cleaner slices and stronger apple-cinnamon definition. Great next day!
