Chocolate cookie cups filled with green frosting and decorated with candy eyes, sprinkles, and pretzel handles for a spooky Halloween treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • green frosting for filling
  • candy eyes
  • green sprinkles
  • pretzel twists for handles

  • Muffin tin
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper cups.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop dough into muffin tin, filling 2/3 full. Press down slightly in the center.
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes. Press centers with spoon to form cups. Cool completely.
  7. Pipe green frosting into cups. Add candy eyes, sprinkles, and toppings.
  8. Break pretzels and insert as cauldron handles.

Notes

Get creative with toppings—gummy worms, crushed Oreos, or candy pearls all make the cauldrons extra spooky!
