Ingredients
  

Seafood Filling
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz crab meat
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 2 celery stalks diced
  • 1 cup peas frozen
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups broth seafood or chicken
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp thyme dried
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Cheddar Bay Biscuit Topping
  • 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix with seasoning packet
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butter melted, for brushing

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a casserole dish.
  2. Sauté onion, celery, carrots in butter until soft; add garlic.
  3. Stir in flour; add broth and cream to make sauce.
  4. Add shrimp, crab, peas, lemon juice, and seasoning.
  5. Pour filling into baking dish.
  6. Mix biscuit topping with cheddar and water.
  7. Drop biscuit dough onto filling.
  8. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  9. Brush biscuits with melted butter before serving.

Notes

Use mixed seafood like scallops or lobster for extra richness.
