  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 16 oz frozen French fries
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

  • 9x13 inch baking dish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add onion and cook 2 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat.
  3. Add garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Cook 1 minute.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and 1 cup cheese until smooth.
  5. Spread beef mixture into baking dish and top with frozen French fries.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes until fries are golden and crisp.
  7. Top with remaining cheese and bake 5 more minutes until melted. Garnish with parsley.
