- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Lay out one egg roll wrapper with a corner facing you. Place 2 tbsp of filling in the center, fold and roll tightly, sealing with water.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels. Roll each warm egg roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with caramel or chocolate sauce if desired.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm and fresh. Can be air fried or baked for a lighter version.
