  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely minced seeds removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line baking pan with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and mix in cheese and jalapeños.
  3. Add flour and seasonings and mix until dough forms.
  4. Press dough into pan and score lightly.
  5. Bake until lightly golden and set.
