Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla.
- Stir in flour, salt, and chopped nuts until dough forms.
- Flatten dough, wrap around a maraschino cherry, and roll into a ball. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until set but not browned.
- Roll cookies in powdered sugar while warm. Cool, then roll again for snowy effect.
Notes
Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. Roll again in powdered sugar before serving if needed.
