Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • pink food coloring to desired color
Coating
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, milk, and food coloring.
  5. Mix in dry ingredients until combined.
  6. Chill dough for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Roll dough in powdered sugar and bake 10–12 minutes.

Notes

Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and tender.
