Ingredients
  

Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
Optional Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and butter for the swirl; set aside.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk buttermilk, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Pour half batter into pan, add half cinnamon mixture, top with remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan, and drizzle with glaze if desired.

Notes

Perfect toasted with butter or turned into cinnamon French toast.
