Chicken Parmesan
  • 2 large chicken breasts sliced horizontally
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping
  • fresh basil chopped

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Slice and pound chicken cutlets evenly.
  2. Prepare breading stations with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Bread chicken in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry chicken cutlets until golden and crispy.
  5. Place chicken in baking dish with marinara and cheese.
  6. Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for best melting and flavor.
