Cowboy Butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce optional

Method
 

  1. Add softened butter to a bowl.
  2. Stir in garlic, parsley, chives, lemon juice, and zest.
  3. Mix in Dijon mustard, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper; add optional sauces.
  5. Blend until smooth and fully combined.
  6. Serve softened or chill into a log for slicing.
