Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 3 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 21 oz cream of chicken soup 2 cans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp parsley dried
  • 0.5 tsp thyme dried
  • salt and pepper to taste
Topping
  • 1.5 cups buttery cracker crumbs
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp paprika

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and cook noodles slightly under al dente.
  2. Sauté onion in butter, add garlic.
  3. Mix soup, sour cream, broth, mustard, and herbs.
  4. Combine chicken, noodles, veggies, aromatics, and sauce.
  5. Transfer to baking dish.
  6. Mix cracker crumbs, butter, garlic powder, and paprika; sprinkle over casserole.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For extra richness, add cheddar or cream cheese.
