Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1 pound lump crab meat shells removed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar, and Parmesan until smooth.
  3. Add onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently fold in crab meat, keeping large pieces intact.
  5. Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Best served hot and fresh with crusty bread or salad. Can be assembled ahead and baked before serving.
