  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • melted white chocolate optional, for drizzle

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg, vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool slightly, transfer to wire rack, drizzle with melted white chocolate, and garnish with zest.
