  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs cut into halves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add orzo pasta, chicken broth, and cream. Stir to combine.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer 12–15 minutes until chicken is cooked and orzo is tender.
  5. Stir in Parmesan until melted and creamy. Garnish with basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish is best served fresh. If reheating, add a splash of broth or cream to revive the sauce. Perfect with a side of garlic bread or salad.
