Method
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter and cook shrimp until pink.
- Remove shrimp and sauté garlic.
- Add orzo and toss to lightly toast.
- Pour in broth and cream, stirring to combine.
- Add Italian seasoning and optional red pepper flakes.
- Simmer until orzo is tender, stirring often.
- Stir in parmesan until creamy.
- Add spinach to wilt.
- Return shrimp and add lemon zest and juice.
- Simmer 1–2 minutes and serve.
Notes
Add extra broth if orzo thickens too quickly; adjust lemon to taste.
