Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Reserve pasta water.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil and butter.
  3. Add tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, then simmer.
  4. Stir in cream and parmesan, then toss with pasta.

Notes

Use pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
