Method
- Slice hard-boiled eggs lengthwise and remove yolks to a mixing bowl.
- Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fill egg whites with the mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
- Cut olives: use one half as the spider body and slice the other half into thin legs.
- Place olive spiders on top of each deviled egg and dust lightly with paprika.
- Chill eggs for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Prepare olive spiders just before serving for the best appearance. Use food coloring for extra creepiness if desired.
