Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs peeled
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp smoked paprika plus extra for garnish
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 black olives for spider decorations

  • Mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Spoon or piping bag

Method
 

  1. Slice hard-boiled eggs lengthwise and remove yolks to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fill egg whites with the mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
  4. Cut olives: use one half as the spider body and slice the other half into thin legs.
  5. Place olive spiders on top of each deviled egg and dust lightly with paprika.
  6. Chill eggs for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Prepare olive spiders just before serving for the best appearance. Use food coloring for extra creepiness if desired.
