Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko preferred
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg beaten
  • oil for frying

  • 4 sandwich buns toasted
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese shaved or grated
  • 0.5 cup Caesar dressing
  • tomato slices or bacon strips optional

Method
 

  1. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness and cut into sandwich-size portions.
  2. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Prepare breading stations: flour with spices, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg, and press into breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry chicken in hot oil (350°F/175°C) for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Toast buns and spread Caesar dressing. Layer lettuce, crispy chicken, parmesan, and optional toppings. Add more dressing if desired.
  7. Serve warm with fries or salad.

Notes

For a lighter version, bake breaded chicken at 400°F for 20–25 minutes. Add bacon or tomato slices for extra flavor.
