Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and chicken broth. Cook on LOW for 4 hours.
  3. Remove chicken, stir rice and butter into the broth.
  4. Return chicken and cook on LOW for 2 hours until rice is tender.
  5. Shred chicken, stir in cream, and cook 10 more minutes before serving.

Notes

Use long-grain rice for best texture.
