Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 lb chuck roast
  • 1.5 lb potatoes halved
  • 4 carrots chunked
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth

Equipment

  • Large skillet

Method
 

  1. Season and sear chuck roast in olive oil until browned.
  2. Place vegetables in crock pot and top with roast.
  3. Mix broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire, and seasonings. Pour over roast.
  4. Cook on LOW for 8–9 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until tender.

Notes

Best cooked low and slow for maximum tenderness.
