Method
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Optional: Brown chicken in olive oil 1–2 minutes per side.
- Place chicken in crockpot and pour marinara sauce over top. Add garlic.
- Cook on low 4–5 hours or high 2–3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and optional breadcrumbs on top.
- Cover and cook additional 10–15 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve over pasta or zoodles.
Notes
For a crispier topping, broil cheese for 2–3 minutes before serving. Can be prepped in the morning and cooked while at work.
