  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Lightly grease the bottom of your crockpot with olive oil or nonstick spray.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a single layer and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, add chopped bell peppers on top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the chicken, add pepperoni slices, and cook until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
