Method
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Place 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture and a few diced strawberries in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Brush edges with egg wash and fold into a triangle or pouch, sealing edges tightly.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry wontons in batches until golden, about 1–2 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels or a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with strawberry sauce.
Notes
Serve immediately for the best crisp texture. Can be made ahead and fried from frozen.
