Ingredients
  

Curry
  • 1.5 lbs potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 3 large onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup water

Equipment

  • Deep pan or skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Sauté cumin seeds and most of the onions until golden.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, and spices; cook until oil separates.
  3. Add potatoes and water; simmer until tender.
  4. Stir in remaining sautéed onions and garam masala.
  5. Simmer briefly and garnish with cilantro.

Notes

Adjust spice level and thickness with chili powder and water.
