Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups bread cubes day-old
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease baking dish.
  2. Cook sausage until browned and drain excess grease.
  3. Layer bread, sausage, and optional vegetables in dish.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, and seasonings and pour over layers.
  5. Top with cheese and bake until set and golden.
