  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 14 oz kielbasa or smoked sausage sliced into rounds
  • 0.5 large onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 cups green cabbage chopped
  • 1 large carrot julienned or thinly sliced
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown kielbasa slices on both sides and remove from pan.
  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in cabbage and carrot, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Cook until cabbage is tender and lightly caramelized, 10–12 minutes.
  6. Return sausage, add vinegar, stir well, and garnish with parsley before serving.
