- Sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic in butter and olive oil.
- Stir in flour and cook briefly.
- Add chicken broth and seasonings; bring to a simmer.
- Add shredded chicken and simmer.
- Quarter biscuit dough and add pieces to pot.
- Simmer covered until biscuits are cooked through.
- Stir in heavy cream and serve warm.
Notes
Cut biscuits smaller for lighter dumplings; avoid over-stirring.
