easy crockpot salsa chicken (4 ingredients!)

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 16 oz jar salsa any heat level
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed or softened

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring spoons
  • Forks for shredding

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Pour salsa over the chicken and sprinkle taco seasoning evenly on top.
  3. Add cream cheese in chunks over the mixture.
  4. Cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  5. Shred chicken with two forks and stir everything together.
  6. Serve warm over rice, in tacos, or however desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, use hot salsa or add jalapeños.
