easy dollywood style cinnamon bread

Soft, buttery, pull-apart cinnamon bread inspired by the famous Dollywood treat, complete with sweet glaze.

Ingredients
  

Bread Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 large egg
Cinnamon Filling
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk use as needed
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle and brush with butter.
  5. Cover with cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Cut strips, stack, and fold into loaf pan.
  7. Rise 30 minutes and bake at 350°F for 28–35 minutes.
  8. Drizzle with glaze and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra-soft loaf, brush with butter immediately after baking.
