Ingredients
  

Soup
  • 1 lb Italian sausage mild or spicy
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 3 cups russet potatoes sliced or diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups kale chopped

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook bacon until crisp; set aside.
  2. Brown sausage with onion and garlic.
  3. Add broth, potatoes, and seasonings; simmer until tender.
  4. Stir in cream and kale; cook until wilted.

Notes

Add extra broth when reheating if soup thickens.
