Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 4 cups finely chopped green cabbage
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
Dressing
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup buttermilk
  • 0.25 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Finely chop cabbage, carrots, and onion.
  2. Combine vegetables in a mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, buttermilk, milk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour dressing over vegetables and stir well.
  5. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  6. Stir before serving and enjoy chilled.

Notes

Chop vegetables very finely for the most authentic texture.
